Description:

On May 17 1954, the Supreme Court ruled in the Brown V.S. Board of Education court case that segregated public schools were illegal. This made Melba think about going to high school at the place she thought was amazing, Little Rock's Central High. This court case led to Melba signing up to integrate Central High and to further push for equality for all. Without this court case Melba and the other 8 students would not have integrated Central High, and many things would still be segregated.
