Description:
The annexation of Austria by Germany. Occurred following an invasion by Germany into Austria (with little to no resistance) and a rigged referendum on whether to join Germany or not (99.7% yes). This was yet another violation of the treaty of Versailles by Germany, yet it was not challenged by other European powers.
