6 janv. 1665 - Robert Hooke - 17th-century scientist and architect and was known for single-handedly being the greatest experimental scientist. He is best known for discovering cells and for his law of elasticity. In 1665 Robert Hooke discovered cells by looking at cork through a microscope and seeing tiny box-like structures. He named these structures "cells" because they reminded him of the cells in monasteries.
