1 déc. 793 - Start Of The Heian Period
Description:
In 794 AD the Japanese capital was moved to Heiankyo. This change marked the beginning of the Heian Period. The Emperor lost power and became more of a figurehead as the Fujiwara clan was tasked with ruling the country. They made new laws based on the Confusian system that commanded strict obedience to authority. This became known as the Great Treasure Reform (701-704)
