Specifically concerning Common Article 3, in which participant countries (Mali as one) are offered certain international protections for any unparticipating members caught between hostile situations. Mali's education system is currently French colonialism. It teaches Mali men and women how to become "French" members of society, taking away the culture and language of Mali members in place of a French way of life. French was taught and used as instruction, as well as France's history, geography, leadership, government, and ways of life.
