jan 8, 1968 - 1968: Sakharov publicises an essay called Reflections on progress which criticises the USSRs stance
on human rights. The essay is published in the West and he becomes to high profile to persecute. In
the end he is kept under constant surveillance and force to remain in the city of Gorky.
