feb 21, 1797 - British Conquer Trinidad
After the invasion of the British, Trinidad was then a french-speaking population with Spanish laws. The religion had a wide variety such as, Protestant Christians (including Anglicans, Presbyterians, Methodist, Evangelicals, Pentecostals and Baptist), Roman Catholic Christians, Hindus, and Muslims and even more! This event is important because Trinidad remained in Spanish hands until 1797, but it was largely settled by French colonists and that changed a bunch of things.
