-December 16, 1989 – December 25, 1989
-Nicolae Ceausescu, the leader of Rome, gets overthrown by its citizens while he is giving a speech and got booed. Soon it's citizens fought against their communist ruler.
-US was involved because they were anti-communist too. Soviets were involved because their communist countries were being overthrown. This is significant to the Cold War because the soviets were falling behind in trying to spread communism.
