-The leader of East Berlin decided there was going to be a change, people were now able to cross the borders of their countries. This made the Berlin Wall basically disappear.
-This affected the US greatly because when the wall fell all of Berlin was no longer communist. The soviets were affected because there chance at spreading communism was lowered and more and more countries were deciding to be anti-communist. This was significant because now a whole country was agreeing on not being communist and agreeing with the US and their opinions.
