-Oct 1956
-The nassar of Egypt declared that the Suez canal should no longer be controlled by Britain. Britain gets made and wants to invade. US puts a stop to the plan. This hurt the US and their allies.
- Us was involved because they denounced the plan and got hurt from it. The Soviets Union was involved because Egypt's ruler was a communist which is what the US is against. This was significant to the Cold War because this hurt the US which could lead to worse conditions in war
