Description:
The D-day was the start of the battle of Normandy, which ended in August 1944, and also the start of the end. On the D-day the Allies landed in Normandy, coast in France (called Operation Overlord). Because Germany had to fight on two fronts, the Allied forces of Britain, America, Canada, and France won. It was a huge turning point in World War 2.
