apr 5, 1764 - Admirality Courts
the Stamp Act required the use of vice-admiralty courts to try people who broke the law. Colonists became outraged because cases brought before those courts were heard by royally appointed judges, not by local juries. This is bad for me because the royally appointed judges would be more strict. Defeat for colonists!
