jan 10, 1776 - T-Paine's Common Sense
Thomas Paine's Common Sense was a highly controversial pamphlet that used plain language so that the average colonist could comprehend it. It challenged the authority of the British government as well as a royal monarchy. Common sense was the first written work to ask for independence from England. This is good for colonists because it is a step in the right direction for freedom from the tyranny of the Britsh government. Victory for colonists.
