jun 28, 1914 - Outbreak of WWI
On June 23rd, 1914, three days after Franz Ferdinand died, the Austria-Hungarian Empire delivered an ultimatum to the Serbian government. Even though the Serbian government was not the cause of the assassination they were blamed for it. The requests in this ultimatum were outrageous to the Serbs to accept. With the terms not accepted, on July 28th, the Austrian-Hungarian Empire declared war with Serbia.
