Description:
When France allies with America they were already at war with the British. France aides the Americans by sending guns, ammunition, money, and troops. An estimated amount of 12,000 troops and 32,000 sailors, the most famous of whom was Marquis de Lafayette. He became an aide to George Washington and a combat general but more importantly, he solidified a favorable American view of France.
