Description:

Pytheas was a greek astronomer that sailed from the Mediterranean seas and reached the coast of England. He is said to be the first person on record to describe the ‘midnight sun north of the Arctic Circle’. Pytheas also developed methods for using the sun and the north star to determine latitude.
