Description:
Polly is a blond white girl. She is Mr.Derby's indentured slave, meaning Mr.Derby pays her debt and Polly works for him. All Polly wants to do is work at the big house and her actions show it. To get to the big house Polly teaches Amari english on the cotton plantation they are working on. This cotton plantation his huge and has a kitchen seperate from the main house. Many slaves either work in the cotton fields, the kitchen, or the main house. They work with Teenie, the chef, and work in the kitchen.
