Description:

Established in 1865 by Congress to help millions of former black slaves and poor whites in the South in the aftermath of the Civil War. it provided all sorts of living materials that were needed to survive and make a living, as well as legal assistance. Sadly the bureau was not able to keep itself from standing due to the race of the Reconstruction within the South.
