jan 24, 1943 - Casablanca Conference

Description:

President Roosevelt met with Churchill in the city of Casablanca. Churchill convinced President Roosevelt to postpone the opening of the Western front until 1944, while announcing that only the unconditional surrender of the axis powers would end the war. Allies also agreed to start dropping bombs on German Cities. This was an important meeting because the Allies agreed that the war would not stop until Germany was defeated.
