Description:
The Doolittle Raid was the first successful bombing over the islands of Japan and served as a significant morale boost for the United States. However, it also revealed a critical security hole in Japanese defenses around the Pacific, namely
around Midway Island. To fix the flaw the Japanese would have to destroy the remnants of the US fleet in the Pacific and capture Midway Island. This is important because it shows America gaining another win, while simultaneously helping Japan advance their tactics.
