Description:
The proclamation was declared after the Seven Years War by the British officials, they wanted to end the costly war between the First Nations and the colonists and to keep friendly trade relationships. The proclamation was made also to keep American settlements out of the Ohio Valley region. Land speculators weren't happy because they wanted to claim and sell the land, which were perfect for growing crops.
