jan 24, 1943 - Casablanca Conference

Description:

US President Roosevelt had a meeting with Churchill in Casablanca to plan out how to find peace. Stalin had been invited but was too busy defending Stalingrad. Churchill convinced Roosevelt to pause the opening of the western front, whilst announcing that the surrender of the Axis Powers would end the war. Allies also agreed that they would begin bombing Germany via planes. This is important because it shows the decisions Roosevelt and Churchill make that ultimately affect the war.
