Description:
Union refused to meet the increasing production demands of the plant manager, so the manager locked out the workers. Fights broke out, killing 16 people. Strike ended when 8,000 militia showed up. This strike caused a setback of unionization due to the striker defeat and the increased hours and lower pay.
