Donovan Bailey is a retired Canadian sprinter. He won the gold medal for Canada in the 1996 Summer Olympics men's 100m sprint in Atlanta, Georgia. Donovan Bailey set a world record at that same race with 9.84 seconds. He won another gold medal when he led team Canada to first place in the men's 4x100m relay. Through his career he won 4 medals, three gold and 1 silver. He was born December 16, 1967, he is currently 50 years old. He currently works with the Classroom Champions program who connect children with athletes. He recently visited a classroom in Calgary.
