Description:
After the war, 260 Dakota mens that have been convicted were forced to go to a compound in Davenport, Iowa which is where they spent 3 years in before being exiled. The Dakotas that were in Fort Snelling were sent to a new reservation that was unsuitable for farming. The government made it illegal for Dakotas to come back to the state of Minnesota.
