aug 25, 1862 - New Ulm Evacuation
Description:
With little food/ammunition the townspeople evacuate. Some evacuated to St. Peter and some went to St. Paul. Over 2000 left. People began returning in early September and small military posts appeared throughout the country. In December, New Ulm reorganizes its government.
