Description:
Henry Sibley tries to get Little Crow to surrender,but Little crow refuses. He states the reasons for the war and says he is willing to release the prisoners. Sibley again demands little crow surrenders, but Little crow again decides to refuse. Sibley and his troops go to find the Dakota at the Minnesota River. Arriving at Lone tree Lake. They camp in the evening of September 22, and early the next morning A few U.S soldiers go hunting for food and come across a group of Dakota that were waiting to attack, This was the last major battle of the U.S Dakota war ending in a defeat for the Dakota people.
