The day after The War starts, New Ulm men start to barricade The center of town after hearing about attacks. At 3:00 pm one hundred Dakota attack. After hours of fighting They stop after They can’t continue because of such horrible rains. After The Governor of St. Paul Alexander Ramsey Hears he Communicates with Henry sibley and Henry gathers his forces and Goes to attack The Dakota. The forces were mostly untrained Citizens.
