Description:
After a the deadly winter of 1862-1863 more than 260 Dakota men are brought down to a compound in Davenport Iowa where they spent 3 years before getting exiled. The Dakota that were left at fort snelling sent by steamboat down the Mississippi and up the Missouri Rivers to new reservations including Crow Creek in Dakota Territory a dry place that was unsuitable for farming.
