jan 3, 1947 - Kilburn Tube
Description:
The Kilburn Tube was the first high speed electronic memory. It used a cathode ray tube to store bits as dots on the screen's surface. This was significant because it was the first FULLY electronic memory. Each dot lasted less than a second and was constantly refreshed. The first computer was also completed at this time!
