Description:
Things are very bad for the Dakota on the reservation. The Dakota are very mad, but when four Dakota men kill five settlers Little Crow is convinced to go to war. On August 18, the Dakota attack the Lower Sioux Agency, killing traders and government employees. Most Dakota do not fight, the ones that do are mostly young men.
