Description:
More than 260 Dakota men spend 3 years at a compound in Davenport, Iowa. The Dakota are coming from steamboat down the Mississippi and up Missouri Rivers to new reservations. This includes Crow Creek in Dakota territory, this is dry, so it’s not suitable for farming. Federal Law abrogates all Dakota Treaties, which makes this illegal if they ever try to renter. This applied to all Dakota, even if they didn’t chose to be in the war.
