21h 48min, nov 30, 1939 y - Fine-Soviet battle

Description:

On November 30, 1939, the Soviet Union invaded Finland in order to annex it to its territory, which is why it was expelled from the League of Nations and marked the beginning of a struggle between Finns and Soviets.

Stalin always thought that the annexation of Finland would be simple, but the defense of this country was much greater than expected and the battle, which the president planned to finish at the end of 1939, extended until the beginning of 1940. As the attacks increased , both parties lost armament and their losses were growing. The fight lasted several weeks and although Finland resisted several offensives, the USSR was also gaining ground.

Finally, on March 12, 1940, the Moscow Treaty was signed, in which Finland agreed to cede 10% of its territory to Stalin and the Soviet Union promised to stop the attacks. That same day the battle ended.
