Description:
The Chinese have developed natural gas as they begin coal mining. The extraction and drilling of natural gases from the Earth is highly dangerous because of what comes out of the ground whilst the natural gases are being extracted. A chemical called methane is leaked from the ground and become airborne. This is a negative thing because of their effect on the environment. Methane is the primary component of natural gas and is 34 times stronger than CO2 at trapping heat over a 100-year period. This is bad because it warms the planet because it is holding in all the hot air from escaping, acceleratiing global warming.
