These were a series of plans that lasted 5 years at a time. A method of planning economic growth over a course of short periods of time. First from 1928-1932 was concentrated on developing heavy industry agriculture in result of drastic fall of goods. Second from 1933-37 is the first one still continued. Third from 1938–42-emphasized the production of military weaponry. Fourth from 1946–53, once again heavy industry and military build. Fifth- from 1953–57, focused on rapid industrial development. This day was the start of heavy work done in Russia to benefit the people.
