The Russian Provisional Government was a temporary government of Russia established immediately following the abdication of Czar Nicholas II of the Russian Empire. This government was quickly abolished when Vladimir Lenin rose to power. This government was in order until Czar Nicholas II and his family were murdered on July 18, 1917.
