Description:
The Revolution of 1905 involved much more violence, strikes, and revolts by workers and peasants (proletariats). This led to Czar Nicholas II establishing the Duma (or Parliament) but this Duma quickly dissolved due to disagreement within the Duma. Nicholas II appointed Peter Stolypin as Prime Minister of Russia to assert more dominance over the people; Stolypin used much more violence than Nicholas II wanted.
