Description:
The 14th Amendment defines the definition of citizenship for former slaves, all persons born in the US are considered citizens of the US and the state where they reside. It also declared no state shall "deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. it reaffirms that the seats in the house are picked by population of the state. This amendment was intended to protect the African Americans in the South and the Republican majority in Washington.
