dec 19, 1130 - Court divisions

Description:

Melisende didn't like Fulk and had been friends with Hugh of Jaffa. Court became divided between supporters of Fulk and Hugh. Accusations of treason and Hugh failed to turn up to the trial. Was banished for 3 years. Hugh died not long after.
Fulk was made unpopular by placing his Angevin nobles in positions of power above Levantine nobility. Fulk did nothing without Melisende's agreement after this.
Fulk spent most of his reign dealing with incursions into northern and southern Frankish lands. Had to deal with Muslim Warlords and Byzantine emperor John.
