On this day the Continental Congress, five of the members commission to negotiate a treaty. These five members were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry Laurens. This negotiated between The United Staes and Great Britain, this ended the revolutionary war and recegnized American independence.
