Description:
Another try at a flyby of Mars entailed sending the Mariner 4 into the realm of space. Just three weeks after losing the Mariner 3, scientists were eager to ensure a successful voyage. July 14th, 1965 set a precedent for NASA's research of the red rock mystery known as Mars. The first ever close up photos of Mars were captured. Humanity was relieved and the unknown began to reveal its identity.
