Description:
Edsger Dijkstra developed the shortest-path algorithm (Dijkstra’s algorithm) when he was asked to show the power of the ARMAC computer. He also created Prim’s algorithm when ARMAC engineers wanted to cut down on the cost of copper-wires. On top of all of this, he also formulated the Dining philosophers problem. Dijkstra was a very significant figure in the field of computer science due to his algorithms.
