The Battle of Britain was the first battle fought entirely by Air Forces. It started when Germany bombed Great Britain in an attempt to destroy the Royal Air Force (RAF). Not only was it the largest ariel bombing campaign to date, it was also the first defeat of Germany's military.
Outcome:
After the United Kingdom defeated Britain, doubts about Hitler's abilities began to rise. Also, both Air Forces suffered great losses as a result of this battle.
