apr 13, 1713 - Treaty of Utrecht
Description:
The Treaty of Utrecht was a peace treaty signed to keep peace between the French and the British. It was signed in Utrecht, Netherlands (in the middle of both England and France) to avoid conflict in both countries. The peace treaty is also when the Acadians were given to the British from the French. It lasted until 1755, which is when the British became suspicious of the Acadians because tension was rising between the French and British, and the British thought that Acadians would go and side with the French if war occured, even though they said they will neutral.
