Future lander (NASA)
InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) is a Mars lander full of geophysical instruments. Using a seismometer, heat flow probe, and precision tracking it seeks to explore the deep interior of Mars and improve our understanding of the formation of terrestrial planets. The mission was originally planned to launch in March 2016, but problems with the seismometer resulted in a launch delay to 2018.
