The July revolt in France in July, 1830 was against the government of King Charles X. The was under Charles to return to the ancient regime provoked the opposition of the middle classes, who wanted more voice in the government. Charles was set aside and Luis Philipe was set ruler and his reign was known as the July Monarchy.
