Description:
the first ever successful match was created by John Walker. Their was a small problem that he found with the match later on. The problem was that the phosphorus on the tip burned so brightly the stick would not be able to support the flame causing it to fall on dresses and carpet for a lot of houses. The match that we know today was created by Gustav Pach who proportion the phosphorus and made it much safer for everyone.
