Description:
The student of Socrates. A philosopher in Athens. Stressed the importance of the universal before particulars. Wrote the Republic which was really a totalitarian state. He taught Aristotle. Most famous for his philosophy of the "Forms" that is the reality behind everything. When mixed with Christianity it caused an inbalanced view of nature where the spiritual realm was above and higher reality than the physical realm--a separation of Grace and Nature.
