jun 15, 1767 - town shed act of 1767

Description:

The town shed act imposed more taxes on glass, lead, paints, paper and tea imported into the colonies. These were all important products In improving the colonies and the British continued to tax these products heavily and with strict enforcement. Now colonists believed this was an abuse of power and something had to be done about it. Also at this point people hated the British. In the streets people would yell slurs at the red coats. Also people would heckle with tax collectors. This lead to the Boston massacre.
