mar 2, 1765 - stamp act of 1765

Description:

The stamp act was another way great Britain taxed the colonies. The stamp act required that the colonists have to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. This included Ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, and newspapers. This only created more tensions between the "red coats" and the colonists. However Great Britain was making so much money off these taxes they decided to do it again. Now they would introduce the town shed acts of 1767.
